Heritage Child Development Center was born out of a group of businesses and individuals committed to bringing quality child care to their rural community. The center was originally opened in the Parish Hall of the Grace Episcopal Church and in 1998 moved to its current home, a center custom built to serve the needs of children.
Heritage Child Development Center is committed to equipping our community’s children with the necessary skills to thrive in their future lives and educational journey.
Our Child Care Programs
We are committed to providing high-quality early childhood education through the use of curricula that align with best practices in the field of early childhood:
STREAMin³: This comprehensive curriculum model for birth-to-five classrooms is supported by the Virginia Department of Education. STREAMin³ blends academic and social-emotional learning, focusing on six STREAM Skills (Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Arts, and Math) and five Core Skills (Relate, Regulate, Think, Communicate, Move) to promote children's development and early learning.
By implementing these curricula, we ensure that each child receives personalized and developmentally appropriate instruction, fostering a love for learning and preparing them for future success. Each curriculum includes formal and informal child observations to each child’s developmental abilities and progress which allows us to modify and adjust our classroom activities to provide the best support for every child.

Located in the heart of Berryville, Virginia, our Heritage CDC location is uniquely situated to serve individuals across the area. We are lucky to be located just 10 minutes from Winchester and Boyce - and right off of route 7 for Loudoun or D.C. commuting parents.​​

Our incredible staff are passionate educators who truly have teaching in their hearts. With years of experience and a deep commitment to each child’s happiness and growth, they work every day to nurture curiosity, creativity, and a lifelong love of learning.
You'll stay connected throughout the day with real-time updates on your child’s meals, activities, and milestones, so you’ll always know how your little one is learning, playing, and growing.
For our youngest learners, our teachers provide gentle, attentive care through every moment: from feedings and diaper changes to naptimes and the early steps toward independence. They’re also well-versed in easing common challenges like separation anxiety with patience and empathy.
All of our teachers are certified, highly trained, and passionate about what they do - giving you peace of mind that your child is in safe, loving, and capable hands.
