Our Child Care Programs

We are committed to providing high-quality early childhood education through the use of curricula that align with best practices in the field of early childhood:

STREAMin³: This comprehensive curriculum model for birth-to-five classrooms is supported by the Virginia Department of Education. STREAMin³ blends academic and social-emotional learning, focusing on six STREAM Skills (Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Arts, and Math) and five Core Skills (Relate, Regulate, Think, Communicate, Move) to promote children's development and early learning.

By implementing these curricula, we ensure that each child receives personalized and developmentally appropriate instruction, fostering a love for learning and preparing them for future success. Each curriculum includes formal and informal child observations to each child’s developmental abilities and progress which allows us to modify and adjust our classroom activities to provide the best support for every child.

All of our programs offer age appropriate play along with structured development-focused learning. Our kids play in the water, explore the outdoors, imagine new worlds on the playground and challenge their brains to expand.

Conscious Discipline® ​

Our programs are guided by the principles of Conscious Discipline®, a comprehensive classroom management and social-emotional curriculum. Relationships form the cornerstone of healthy early childhood development. Conscious Discipline® organizes schools and classrooms around the concept of a School Family. Conscious Discipline®draws on the latest brain research, child development insights, and developmentally appropriate practices.

Cheers Team Members incorporate “I Love You Rituals” from the Conscious Discipline® curriculum to foster loving connections and emotional resilience in children. These rituals are playful, one-on-one interactions that involve gentle touches, positive words, and engaging activities. They are designed to promote optimal brain development, enhance attention spans, reduce hyperactivity, build self-esteem, and facilitate language development. By embedding these rituals into our daily routines, we help children feel valued and secure, reinforcing the importance of positive relationships. Through activities like singing songs, sharing stories, and participating in fun games, we create a nurturing environment where each child can thrive emotionally and socially.
