Infants
6 weeks - 12 months:
Infants in our programs are cared for tenderly and with the greatest affection. We know how hard it is to leave your child with us, so we work to ensure that you are comfortable with our caregivers and their attention to your infant.
In this room, your child will be offered either a bottle and/or table food, depending on their age and your preference. We provide formula, but you are free to bring breast milk or your own formula. Infants are diapered hourly (or more frequently as needed), and their caregivers provide them with floor time to encourage muscle development and gross motor skills. Infants are introduced to “I Love You Rituals,” which include songs, finger-plays, and stories. The rooms are structured to separate mobile from non-mobile infants, and a spacious and fenced play area is available for ventures outside, weather permitting.
The teacher-to-infant ratio in this classroom is 1 to 4, and there is often an additional teacher’s aid available to sooth and comfort and tickle!
