The CHEERS School Family™
MISSION STATEMENT

Cubby
Say hello to “Cubby” our mascot. He represents
The CHEERS commitment to literacy, learning and love.

The CHEERS School Family™ believes children are natural learners beginning at birth. Their learning is maximized in an environment where they feel safe emotionally, as well as physically.

The teachers are responsible for:

  • Maximizing the early childhood years as they are signified as the time when the brain is most influenced by experience;
  • Building self-esteem and confidence by being respectful, positive, accepting and caring in a safe, healthy environment;
  • Providing a curriculum that reflects the latest research on developmentally-appropriate classroom practice that includes hands-on, creative, process-oriented activities to encourage life-long learning.

Our guiding principles and values are as follows:

  1. To create a welcoming environment to the parents and the community.
  2. To maintain an environment that is clean and safe.
  3. To operate in an environment based upon teamwork.
  4. To establish a partnership with parents through effective communication.
  5. To provide and accept honest, routine feedback that is caring and helpful.
  6. To participate in on-going training to maintain professionalism.
  7. To operate in a manner that is caring, empathetic, and respectful.
  8. To operate in a fiscally-sound manner.
  9. To provide care and education based upon children’s developmental needs and abilities.
  10. To operate under established policies and procedures that are consistently enforced.
